Last semester, he taught two courses at Ashoka, \u2018Existentialism\u2019 and \u201819th Century Philosophy\u2019, both topics he specializes in.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Madhavi Menon teaches English Literature at Ashoka, and recently took a course titled \u2018Advanced Theory\u200a\u2014\u200aThe Law of Desire\u2019. Professor Menon has also recently published a book, <em>Infinite Variety\u00a0: A History of Desire in India<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Arghya Bhattacharya is a member of the Economics department. His academic interests include macroeconomics (markets with frictions), monetary economics, and international finance.
